To fast load audio cassette files

  1. If the cassette recorder is not visible, click Cassette Recorder on the View menu.

  2. Click the fast load button, image1.

The button will have a depressed appearance when fast loading is enabled.

Note

  • Loading noise is automatically disabled when fast loading audio cassette files.

  • Do not disable fast loading while the Spectrum is loading a program. The loader will get confused when the speed suddenly decreases resulting in a tape loading error. It is safe, however, to turn on fast loading at any time.

  • Enabling fast loading also activates flashloading and edge detection, if they are enabled.
