This normally means the ‘auto load’ and/or ‘auto play/stop’ features on the cassette recorder are disabled.

To re-enable them:

• On the View menu, click Cassette Recorder (if the cassette recorder window is not visible).
• Ensure both the ‘auto load’ and ‘auto play/stop’ buttons are both selected (click them if not).
• Re-open the tape file and the program should load automatically.
