To record an AVI video clip

1. On the File menu, click New.

2. In the dialog box, click the Video Clip (AVI) icon.

3. Enter a name for the file.

4. Choose a location for the file and click OK.

5. Choose the video size, frame rate and video compressor on the resulting dialog box and click OK. If you are unsure what to choose, accept the defaults by clicking OK.

6. When finished, highlight Video Clip (AVI) on the Control menu and click Stop from the resulting pop-up menu.

Important

• Not all video compressors are capable of compressing Spectaculator's video output. If you get an error when recording, choose another compressor and try again.

Tip

• You can also use the shortcut key, Ctrl+Backspace, to stop recording.

• If you require lossless compression, try using the Microsoft RLE compressor.
