About zip files

The major Spectrum Internet sites such as Spectrum Computing and the TZX Vault supply files zipped up to reduce their size and therefore download time.

Spectaculator can open files directly from zip archives without first having to extract them.

If the zip archive only contains a single file that Spectaculator recognises, Spectaculator will open it immediately.

If the zip archive contains multiple files, a dialog box will appear to allow you to browse for a specific file to open.
