To load programs from virtual audio cassette

1. On the File menu, click Open.

2. Locate the audio cassette file, click it, and then click Open. The Spectrum will automatically reset and begin loading.

Tip

• You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl+Space to start or stop cassette recorder playback.

Note

• If you have auto load disabled, you will need to reset the Spectrum manually and enter the appropriate command in ZX Spectrum BASIC to start loading the program.

• If you have also disabled auto play/stop, you will need to press the play button on the cassette recorder.

• Sometimes an audio cassette file does not tell Spectaculator to stop playback when it should. For those files, you will need to click the stop button once the program has finished loading.

• The signal coming in from the soundcard overrides the signal from the virtual cassette recorder. Make sure you disable the loading from an external audio source feature to load from virtual audio cassette.
