To open a TR-DOS disk image

  1. On the File menu, click Open.

  2. Locate the disk image file, click it, and then click Open.

  3. Choose a disk drive to insert the image into then click OK.

Tip

  • Use the disk drives window to insert disk images directly into specific drives.

  • You can also use the image1 toolbar button to open TR-DOS disk images.

  • If you choose a disk drive that already contains a disk image, Spectaculator will automatically eject it and insert the new image.

  • If the Beta 128 disk drives window is hidden, click Disk Drives on the View menu to see which disk images are in which drives.

Note

  • Disk images cannot be ejected if the image is currently in use (ie. the drive motor is on and the disk controller is busy).

  • Treat disk image files just like the real thing - do not reset the Spectrum or exit Spectaculator while the Spectrum is reading or writing to a disk image.
