To change the emulation speed

  • On the Control menu, highlight Speed and choose the speed you want to run the emulation at from the resulting pop-up menu.

Note

  • Fast emulation mode requires substantially more of your computer's resources. If your computer is not fast enough to run Spectaculator at the selected speed, the emulation will appear to stop and start every second or so. In this case, you should choose a slower speed.

  • As you increase the emulation speed, more of your computer's resources will be used by the emulation at the expense of updating the display. The display rate image1 in the status bar therefore, may show a slower refresh rate than you expect. The emulation itself will still be running at the specified speed, if your computer is fast enough.

Tip

  • Increasing the speed of the emulation is useful for playing back action replays quickly.
