Game controller buttons
Modern game controllers have more buttons than the original Kempston joystick interface supported. Spectaculator configures these as key presses on the Spectrum keyboard to enable easier control when the keyboard as well as a joystick was previously needed.
The default mappings are shown below. However, you can change these to suit specific games, if necessary.

Tip
To map the directional controls to the Spectrum keyboard, use the Comcon programmable joystick interface.
Use the redefine keys option available in some games. Configure the extra buttons by pressing them when asked to choose keys for actions.
