Legal Notices

ZX Spectrum software

You should remember that Spectrum software is still copyrighted material and it is illegal to download software that you do not own. The Author will NOT be responsible for acts of copyright violation.

Having said that, many publishers and individuals have given their permission to distribute their software freely in unmodified form on the Internet. See World of Spectrum for details.

Game Pack Contents

Spectaculator includes a handful of classic ZX Spectrum games to get you started. These are included by permission of their respective copyright owners:

Embedded ROM code

Spectaculator contains the 48k/128/+2/+2A/+3 ZX Spectrum ROM code. Amstrad Consumer Electronics, the owners of the ZX Spectrum, have granted free distribution of the ZX Spectrum ROMs but reserve the copyright.

Spectaculator also contains Multiface ROM code licensed from Romantic Robot. This license only applies to Spectaculator. Other parties that are interested in licensing this code should contact Romantic Robot directly.

The copyright status of the Currah µSpeech ROM is currently unknown. If the copyright owner is currently reading this, please contact us at spectaculator.com.

Additional Credits

Many thanks to Paul van der Laan of type invaders for supplying the images of the Spectrum 48K and Spectrum 128K+ used on the virtual keyboard.

Shay Green's NTSC Libraries (with modifications made by Steve Snake) provide the TV filter effects. These are licensed under the GNU LGPL. Source code is available upon request.

The help system uses the excellent jQuery Javascript library.
