To save programs and data to virtual audio cassette

  1. On the File menu, click New.

  2. In the dialog box, click the appropriate audio cassette file icon.

  3. Enter a name for the file.

  4. Choose a location for the file and click OK.

  5. If the cassette recorder is hidden, click Cassette Recorder from the View menu.

  6. Click the record button on the cassette recorder.

  7. If you are saving from ZX Spectrum BASIC, enter the appropriate command. If you are saving your progress in a game, follow the instructions with the game.

  8. Once you have saved your data, click the stop button on the cassette recorder.

Tip

  • You can also use the shortcut keys Ctrl+Alt+Space start recording. Ctrl+Space stops recording.

Note

  • You can also save data to an existing audio cassette file. Click Open from the File menu. Locate the file you want to save to, click it and click Open. Follow the instructions from step 5 above. Any saved data will be appended to the file.

  • You cannot save programs and data to sample files. If you have one of these files open, the record button on the cassette recorder will be disabled.
