To eject a Microdrive cartridge

1. On the File menu, click Eject Microdrive Cartridge.

2. Choose a Microdrive to eject the cartridge from then click OK.

3. If the Microdrives window is hidden, click Microdrives on the View menu to see which cartridges are in which drives.

Tip

• You can also use the shortcut key, Ctrl+J, to eject Microdrive cartridges.

Note

• Microdrive cartridges cannot be ejected if the cartridge is currently in use (ie. the Microdrive motor is on).

• Treat Microdrive cartridge files just like the real thing - do not reset the Spectrum or exit Spectaculator while the Spectrum is reading or writing to a cartridge.
