To create a new virtual Microdrive cartridge

1. On the File menu, click New.

2. In the dialog box, click the Microdrive cartridge icon.

3. Enter a name for the file.

4. Choose a location for the file and click OK.

5. Choose any empty Microdrive to insert the new cartridge into and click OK.

6. If the Microdrives window is hidden, click Microdrives from the View menu.

Tip

• You can also use the shortcut key Ctrl+N to create a new cartridge.

• You will need to format the cartridge before you can use it using the following BASIC command: FORMAT "m";n;"name" where n is the Microdrive containing the new cartridge and "name" is the new name of the cartridge. Alternatively, as of version 4.1, you can use the format toolbar button on the Microdrives window to quickly format a cartridge.
